Study with us: SCIO Online from Oxford! ⤵️

After a successful finish to our fully online summer programme, we are offering our online tutorial seminars this coming academic year. 

“What was especially fruitful and special to the SCIO Online experience were the tutorials. That one-on-one time with the professor engaged my thinking in new ways and challenged me to approach the material differently than I normally would have. It is an experience that I will carry with me throughout the rest of the studies and throughout the rest of my life." 💬 SCIO Online summer 2020 student

The SCIO Online programme is synchronous, providing live direct contact with tutors through small discussion groups and one-on-one tutorials in the great tradition of Oxford pedagogy, and runs for a little over four weeks. Two terms, October and January, each running for 4 weeks. 👩🏼‍💻👨🏾‍💻

You may have seen the CCCU’s recent decision not to run the majority of its programmes for the 2020/21 academic year. SCIO is excited to announce that it IS planning to run a hybrid online/in person programme and is looking forward to this fall! We will continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19. We stand in unity with our African American brothers and sisters. Shirley V. Hoogstra, President of the CCCU, shared the following in response to the killing of #GeorgeFloyd: “We need to do more than lament or shed tears over the overwhelming evidence of systemic racism. Those do not cost us much. We need to act with courage and perseverance in the face of this 400-year-old pattern of evil. As a leader in Christian higher education, the urgent conversations during this global pandemic have been about how higher education will adapt and innovate for the future based on the need for financial sustainability. But if we don’t get this right, if we don’t highlight the moral, physical, emotional, and spiritual toll of racism in all walks of life, any innovation will be like ‘resounding gongs and clanging symbols,’ and we will have gained nothing. Today is the day we again commit to better fighting for truth and freedom.”
