Junior Dean: SCIO seeks to appoint a part time Junior Dean to foster a supportive community in line with SCIO’s objectives and to cover the practical responsibilities of warden. The Junior Dean will live in The Vines on Pullen’s Lane in Headington and will have domestic, pastoral, and disciplinary responsibilities for the students living in the house. The Junior Dean may undertake additional administrative tasks and/or, if she/he is an advanced graduate student, may undertake tutorial or other teaching, if suitable opportunities present themselves. For any such additional administrative or teaching work separate remuneration will be offered. The main duties covered by the salary will together take about fifteen hours per week and four evenings per week must be spent in the student house. Applications should be received by 27 May 2022 with a variable starting date of 6 June 2022 or late August 2022, depending on availability of the applicant. Facilities Administrative Assistant: SCIO seeks to appoint a part time Facilities Administrative Assistant to support on the management of the day-to-day operations related to buildings. This is a good opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who has experience with building maintenance, scheduling, health and safety risk assessments, and managing contracts and relationships with key facilities providers. The appointee will work as part of a supportive team in a pleasant office in North Oxford and must be able to travel to our student accommodation site in Headington. Academic Administrator: SCIO seeks to appoint a full time Academic Administrator to organise and deliver SCIO’s semester, summer, and online student programmes. This post will suit an experienced administrator who combines capacity for effective overview with a keen eye for detail and has the creativity and vision to support the work of a dynamic organisation with international connections. The post holder will be assist the smooth running of SCIO’s student programme activities and marketing. Activities take place primarily in Oxford. It is expected that the appointee will work in person from our office in North Oxford for the majority of the time while programmes are running.
